Brief Description

SODEINC, Inc. is a non-profit research corporation established in 1987 to support research and educational activities at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) through the efficient and flexible administration of grants, donations and funds from different sources including private and public granting agencies, academic institutions, other health-related sources including pharmaceutical companies and private profit and non-profit organizations and/or corporations. The policies of SODEINC, Inc. are carried out in accordance with Public Law 100-322 (38 U.S.C., Section 204), VA Circular 10-89-99 and P.R. Law Section 101(6) of the Income Tax Act of 1954 as amended. SODEINC, Inc., located at the VACHS, San Juan, Puerto Rico, was incorporated in Puerto Rico as a nonprofit charitable corporation since 1987 and qualified as a 501(c)(3) under the IRS as a federally tax exempt nonprofit in April 1991.

VA Caribbean Healthcare System serves veterans in Puerto Rico and U.S.V.I. In addition to our main medical center in San Juan, we offer a number of services to our patients in six outpatient clinics. SODEINC, Inc. maintains a central work site for the purpose of carrying out the corporation’s mission. SODEINC, Inc. is physically located within the VACHS building in 10 Casia Street, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00921-3201. Office has been provided by the VACHS in the basement of the main building (A-46).
