Brief Description

The VBRI is private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with programs that operate within the Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS). With Medical Centers located in East Orange and Bernards Township as well as satellite outpatient clinics located in Brick, Elizabeth, Hackensack, Hamilton, Jersey City, Morristown, Paterson, Piscataway and Tinton Falls, the VANJHCS serves over 50,000 Veterans per year.

Veterans Bio-Medical Research Institute (VBRI) conducts research benefiting veterans in New Jersey and beyond. Research at VBRI includes; suicide prevention; PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder); TBI (traumatic brain injury); spinal cord injury (SCI) and treatment; gulf war and unexplained illness; oncology/hematology (cancer); multiple sclerosis; Alzheimer’s; diabetes; liver and kidney diseases; infectious diseases; health outcomes and access to care.
